ConCentRICs Demonstration
ConCentRICs (Convention Center Resource
Information and Control system) is the ultimate
in facility management systems. Even though Convention Center is part of the name, ConCentRICs will
perform well for any business that schedules events in their facility. This could be Convention Centers,
Arenas, Auditoriums, Stadiums, Performing Arts, Theaters, Conference Centers, Banquet Halls,
Resorts, Hotels, Universities, etc.
The purpose of ConCentRICs is to reduce the paperwork involved in operating a facility. It
provides a separate application for each department or functional area. This is for security
and ease of use. When a user logs into the system they only have access to the options they
need to perform their job function. This will provide each person with the tools necessary to ensure a
successful event.
With the exceptions of the ConCentRICs Training and Release Notes icons, which are covered in this tutorial, you can click on any menu icon to view a separate demonstration for that application.
After viewing product demonstrations on the various applications you may be interested in, you can
use the Price List
to assist you in determining the basic cost of the system based on the actual applications you'll need.
NOTE: No matter how many ConCentRICs applications you are considering, there are two required applications that must be purchased:
System Administration  
Scheduling Administration
Also, if you are interested in any of the Accounting applications, there is one required application that must be purchased in addition to any other Accounting applications:
General Ledger

ConCentRICs Applications

Purpose: Accounting is used to track and control all money transactions in a facility.
IMPORTANT NOTE: Accounting is not purchased as a separate stand alone ConCentRICs application but is composed of a number of separately purchased applications. For more information on this application, click on Product Demonstration Accounting.

Purpose: Booking Analysis is one of the major reporting applications for scheduling information. For more information on this application, click on Product Demonstration Booking Anaylsis.

Purpose: Books About ConCentRICs contains a listing and access to on-line documentation for all ConCentRICs applications. For more information on this application, click on Product Demonstration Books.

Purpose: Box Office Administration is used to track the tickets that are sold and to produce the box office settlement. For more information on this application, click on Product Demonstration Box Office Admin.

Purpose: Bullentin Board provides a place for users to read and post messages that are of a general interest. For more information on this application, click on Product Demonstration Bulletin Board

Purpose: Calendars is one of the major reporting applications for scheduling information. For more information on this application, click on Product Demonstration Calendars.

Purpose: Checklists/Follow Ups uses information from the scheduling portion of the system and provides the user with reports on those items they wish to be reminded to do by a particular date. For more information on this application, click on Product Demonstration Checklist.

[NOTE: This application is currently being developed.]
Purpose: ConCentRICs Training is used to provide users with an on-line means of taking training on ConCentRICs applications.
When you double click on the ConCentRICs Training icon, the user that is logged on will be presented with a personalized dialog box, as long as a license is available within the facility.

The list box will show all ConCenRICs applications with the current status of completion for the user.
Double click on an application name in the list and a dialog box for the course title will be presented..

Double click on an subject name in the list and a dialog box for the topic(s) in that subject will be presented.

Double click on a topic in the list and a dialog box for all sub topics will be presented.

Users can then pick sub topics to start their on-line training and when completed be tested for transfer of knowledge.
If your security level is high enough, you can click on the Administration button and the Administration screen will appear.

This dialog box is also used to monitor student status and the progress they are making in the training course.

Purpose: Current Events is used to immediately display a listing of all events booked from the present date to any number of days in the future depending on a predefined system-wide setting. For more information on this application, click on Product Demonstration Current Events.

Purpose: Electronic Mail is a comprehensive, fully integrated e-mail package packed with many features. It is used locally to send messages to anyone on staff and if you have Internet access, externally to anyone in the world with an Internet address. Purpose: Equipment and Services is an ‘extract’ application. Meaning that the three modules contained in this application, Event Inquiry, Event List and Location Review, are all functions that are also found in the Event Manager sub application, in Event Administration. Some users may not have a need for all of the comprehensive functions in Event Administration but do need these three high usage ones and they have been broken out and made available in this application. Purpose: Event Administration was developed to handle practically everything required to make the event happen from the time it is sold, until the time it has left the facility. For more information on this application, click on Product Demonstration Event Admin.

Purpose: Event Reporting is used to display event and or calendar data in various formats. This is one of the reporting applications for Scheduling Administration. This application produces miscellaneous event reports that do not have a particular theme and do not fit in any other application in ConCentRICs. Purpose: Event Settlement is used to review all charges for an event, make any necessary adjustments and produce an invoice or refund so the facility can settle with a client. For more information on this application, click on Product Demonstration Event Settlement.

Purpose: Exhibitor Work Orders is used to collect information about exhibitors participating in a trade show. There is an external interface that can be used to import name, address and booth information from an outside source. There is also an interface that provides the ability to process Exhibitor Work Orders from your web site on the Internet. Purpose: Food Administration is used to track and control all food activity in the facility. It covers all aspects of food service from initial planning to final billing. For more information on this application, click on Product Demonstration Food Admin.

Purpose: Inventory Control is used to track all of the consumable inventory items for a facility. Consumable inventory items are those items that do not normally fall into the fixed assets category. NOTE: All options in the Food Inventory application are identical to those found in the Inventory Control application. Inventory Control is made available as a separate application for anyone who needs the specific functions covered here but otherwise do not have a requirement to purchase the Food Administration application. Purpose: Labor Administration is used to collect all requests for labor, match them to the available pool and create a schedule of people to work. For more information on this application, click on Product Demonstration Labor Admin.

Purpose: Name and Address is the central point to reference any name, company, address or phone number in the ConCentRICs system. For more information on this application, click on Product Demonstration Name and Address.

Purpose: Operations is used to take care of all the paperwork involved with the Engineering Department and to give instant access to information required by facility staff. For more information on this application, click on Product Demonstration Operations.

Purpose: Release Notes is used to reflect any new system information that was added to ConCentRICs. These updates are pertinent up through ConCentRICsVersion 5 only. Starting with Version 6.0 of the system all new system information is posted at the RIC Corp web site as soon as changes are made.

Purpose: Sales and Marketing is used to track current and potential clients. This part of the system will allow you to collect preliminary information on people who contact you, or to collect information on individuals and companies that you would like to do business with in the future. Purpose: Scheduling Administration has one primary purpose. To book events and maintain information on those events. This is the most important application in the system. For more information on this application, click on Product Demonstration Scheduling .

Purpose: Security Administration is used to take care of all the paperwork involved with a Security Department and to give instant access to information required by Security Personnel. For more information on this application, click on Product Demonstration Security Admin.

Purpose: System Administration is the foundation for the ConCentRICs system. Simply stated, it’s primary use is to setup the system. For more information on this application, click on Product Demonstration System Admin.

Purpose: Telephone Administration is used to produce telephone bills quickly and easily from the data provided by your telephone service provider. For more information on this application, click on Product Demonstration Telephone Admin.

Purpose: Tutorial for ConCentRICs is used to provide users with a big picture overview of the overall ConCentRICs system. For more information on this application, click on ConCentRICs Product Information.
